Stephen Sovenyhazy April 23, 2024
Listen to the audio and try to answer the following questions.
Questions
1. What was the only time the “Plusquamperfekt” was used? Which tense was used most frequently?
2. What exercise routine would he like to start next week?
3. How often did he use to do sports in the past?
4. What happened to his soccer club?
5. How often did they have games?
Answers
1. “Ich hatte davor schon immer Sport gemacht” is the only sentence in the Plusquamperfekt. The most frequently used tense is the preterit (Pretäritum): waren sehr stressig (were very stressful), war recht fit (was pretty fit), wir trainierten (we practiced/trained), hatten ein Spiel (had a game), wollten wir uns treffen (wanted to meet), das klappte nicht (that didn’t work out)
2. He wants to go running twice a week and lift weights three times a week.
3. He used to work out five times a week and had one soccer game a week.
4. What happened to his soccer club?
5. How often did they have games?
Transcript
Also, nächste Woche! Keine Ausreden mehr.
