Allison completed her Bachelors Summa Cum Laude in German and International Business at the University of Alabama. She went on to study European-American studies at the Master's level in Regensburg German, specializing in regulatory and cultural differences between the United States and the European Union, and later completed an internship with the European Parliament in Washington D.C. and Brussels, Belgium.
Allison worked from 2019 to 2021 as International Education Program Coordinator with UNC Chapel Hill's Center for European Studies. In this position, she oversaw and facilitated outreach programs that taught secondary and tertiary educators about the European Union and Transatlantic Relations. Since October 2021, Allison has been working as a Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Research Fellow with the Atlantic Academy Rheinland-Pfalz, researching contemporary relations between American military members and German locals in the Kaiserslautern Military Community.
A Charleston SC resident who frequently crosses the Atlantic, Allison speaks fluent German and intermediate level Turkish. She has years of experience in intercultural education as well as tutoring, teaching, and learning languages.
