Definition: The Folha de Pagamento – more commonly known simply as ‘folha’- is the term used in Portuguese to refer to a company’s payroll. It is a list with all the information about payments made to employees and all corresponding discounts.
Example in Portuguese: “A contabilidade está preparando a folha de pagamento para o próximo mês.”
Translation: “The accounting department is preparing the payroll for the next month.”
