  Definition: To work overtime.

  In Germany, when you’re working more hours than stipulated by your contract, you’re “Überstunden machen” – making overtime.

  Example sentence:
  “Ich muss heute Überstunden machen, weil wir ein großes Projekt abschließen müssen.”
  (English: “I have to work overtime today because we have to finish a big project.”)
