Cancellation Policy – How to mark cancelled or missed classes?

Here is a detailed review for our teachers of the class cancellation policy as well as how to mark attendance (cancellations) in CORE CONNECT

CORE Languages offers a 24-hour cancellation policy to all clients and students. Our policy is as follows:

*Classes must already be listed on a client’s/student’s calendar 24 hours or more before the class start time to be marked as attended cancelled or missed.

1. For Private Classes of one student and one teacher.

CORE Languages Cancellation Policy - How to mark cancelled or missed classes?

Mark “complete” if your student has attended the class.

  • Mark “canceled” if your student canceled earlier than 24 hours before the scheduled class
  • Select the dropdown arrow next to cancelled and select “missed” or “cancel but still charge” if the students cancel less than 24-hours before a scheduled class or gave no notice and do not attend the class.

2. For Group Classes of 2 or more students and one teacher.

CORE Languages Cancellation Policy - How to mark cancelled or missed classes?

Mark “complete” if the class takes place

  • Mark “cancel” if the class is canceled earlier than 24 hours before the scheduled class
  • Select the dropdown arrow next to cancelled and select “missed” or “cancel but still charge” if the students cancel less than 24-hours before a scheduled class or gave no notice and do not attend the class.
  • Attention! In a group session, we keep track of attendance for the class as a whole. If the class takes place even for one student, the class will be marked as “complete” for all students. We do this because all classes are recorded and students who attended, canceled or missed will be notified of the session recording, which they can (re)watch at a more convenient time. If you mark “cancel” for individual students, you may not receive correct compensation and students may not receive notification of the recorded session.
